You're right, this conflict has been in the news a lot, just not here in the west. Al Jazeera has been all over it but, they're not western media. Few in the west care about anyone on the African continent, unless you're a western corporation that's been kicked out of an African country lately, or a western military that was kicked out of an African country. Ohh, the outrage. How could they do that to us and so on. But the genocide in Sudan, sorry, we don't have time. Israel is more important, Ukraine is more important. Trump is more important. I'm guilty of that myself. I'm more concerned about my existential problems than theirs and that is what the world is boiling down to. We are now under assault from so many things, depending on where we live, that we have to triage certain things that are not a direct threat. And that is shameful.
Good on you for trying to bring more attention to this. Maybe I will use this as a wakeup call for my podcast and address this in a future show. Gods know there are plenty of articles about this being reported on Al Jazeera and RT News all the time. Are you up for a little collaboration?
You work with me to write an article that I will read on my podcast. No video interviews like we did last year, unless you really want to. The idea is for us to write a detailed article about the war in Sudan with both of our names on it. Think about it and let me know if this is something that sounds interesting. You can leave me a message at todomhnaill@crann-na-beatha.com, if you wish.
Oh, similar to the one I wrote up for Canada and U.S. relations a while back! I get'cha. That could be really neat. It's been a while since I've done a collaborative piece, but I'd be willing to work on one for sure.
Very good. I will start digging up articles after tomorrow and share what I find with you. We can both work on drafts together and agree on a final copy for publication over the next few days or week or so, depending on what we run into. This should be fun.
Okay then, we're on. I think I might still have your email address but as I've given you mine here, it might not be necessary to share yours. If you want, we can divide and conquer. Do you want to research the humanitarian angle while I look up the war angle? The we put both halves together into something the melds it all together. What do you think?

What sort of collaboration did you have in mind?

I'm here for it! I'll start taking some notes and send them your way as well. It'll be good to do a proper deep dive on the issues facing Sudan.
