A Little Community Check In
We're all tired here, aren't we?
We have a bunch of new arrivals here at World-Weary!
Come on in, folks. Cookies and cinnamon rolls are on your left, tea, coffee and water are on the right. Pick your poison of choice and settle in.
Kick off your shoes, let your hair down, put your feet up and grab a comfy blanket of your choosing. It’s time for a little community check in.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a little meeting, hasn’t it? A lot has gone on in the world, a lot of problems exposed, a lot of daily life is getting worse, more expensive and more dangerous.
For some of us, mental health is lower than ever.
If that’s the case for you, I want to know. It’s time to vent.
I personally got news for my health that necessitated a complete lifestyle change, and I’m still fighting with immigration over my spouse. Hopefully that fight will be over soon, but I’ve been saying that for months.
I’m feeling very emotionally tired. I’m not going to let it tear me away from my work here.
That’s my bit of oversharing for the day; I’m weary.
How about you? What’s eating at you? What’s grinding you down? Let’s talk about it in the comments if you feel comfortable with it; I’d love to see this community step in to offer each other a virtual shoulder to lean on.
We’re all tired here at World-Weary. But we’re here because we care.
Solidarity wins.

For me, it's the exhaustion from the scary news 24/7. It builds and builds and instead of finding something to give their audience some much needed hope, they double and triple down on the scary. I know there are good things happening too but it's easy to forget that when it's always rage bait or scare bait to get their audience going.
